The Society.
Do you consider yourself a forward-thinking urbanite? Then, The Society of Progressive Urban Gays and Lesbians is looking for you to help join a movement aimed at re-invigorating the minority LGBT community in Greensboro, High Point, and Winston-Salem and other Triad cities.
The LGBT community is diverse in every sense of the word. SPUGL wants to build upon that diversity by broadening how minority gays and lesbians are represented in our communities, our towns and our cities. We are many people, with many ideas, thoughts, and interests but we need a vehicle that allows us to explore and become exposed to an active gay lifestyle.
This is a lifestyle that we cultivate and make our own. The Society of Progressive Urban Gays and Lesbians was created as a way to offer gay brothers and sisters in the Triad an avenue for social, networking opportunities that speak to a trendy, upscale generation. We want to bring the bright lights, big city feel of places like New York, L.A., Miami and Atlanta right here to the Triad.
SPUGL is interested in creating a society of forward-thinking urbanites who enjoy things like wine tastings, spoken word, theater/live music, cultural events, art/museums, book clubs, travel, spiritual/religion, workshops/seminars, sports, community service etc. The possibilities are endless.
