A: SPUGL stands for The Society for Progressive Urban Gays and Lesbians, a social, networking group that has formed to revitalize the minority LGBT community in Greensboro, N.C., and surrounding cities.
A: SPUGL basically compiles events and activities going on in the Triad and posts them on this Web site as a way to entice gays and lesbians to come out and be social in our community. You can socialize, network, make new friendships, etc. The only way to do that is to get out and be seen.
A: Anyone can be a SPUGL member. This a fairly new social, networking organization, so we are building members everyday. As we grow, we will be looking for individuals who can help us market SPUGL as a viable social and networking group.
A: No. The Society for Progressive Urban Gays and Lesbians is a Triad, N.C.-based group developed by a local couple. You will find SPUGL profiles on Downelink; MySpace and Facebook.
