The Progression.
We believe the presence of urban lesbian and gay men needs to be revived and brought back to life here in the Triad! The gay community is growing and ever changing and people of color need to be a part of that progression.
A key to doing that is making a name for ourselves in other social circles and communities other than our own. There are several LGBT organizations in the Triad, that actively support and endorse gay-related social and networking events.
Our society wants to expand upon that by creating the same kind of leadership and support that have made those organization successful and well known in the area.
As gay and lesbian urbanites, we need to branch out if we want to be recognized and respected in the greater LGBT community.
